Privacy Policy
CFB Prophet was built for college football fans to simulate games and test playoff scenarios. We do not track you, sell your data, run third-party advertising networks, or harvest personal info.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
By default, all of your simulated games, custom score overrides, and team slider adjustments are stored directly in your web browser or device storage (via local storage).
This data belongs to you and remains on your device until you clear your browser data or delete the app.
2. Community Brackets & Public Leaderboard
If you choose to submit a bracket to the public Community Leaderboard, the app sends your game picks, predicted scores, and the display name or nickname you entered to our database.
These submissions are public so other users can view and compare picks. Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as your real full name, phone number, or home address) as your bracket name or handle.
3. Account Sign-In (Optional)
Creating an account or signing in with Google or an email link is completely optional. If you choose to sign in, we only store your authentication record to link your saved predictions to your profile across your devices.
We will never sell your email, spam you, or share your account info with data brokers or marketing firms.
4. Account & Data Deletion (User Control & Privacy Rights)
In full compliance with user privacy rights and Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v), you have complete control over your account and data. You may permanently delete your account and all associated prediction data at any time:
- In-App Deletion: Open CFB Prophet → Tap your profile icon or name in the top navigation bar → Scroll down to "Delete Account & Prediction Data" → Tap "Yes, Permanently Delete" to confirm.
- Immediate Result: All local device storage, saved predictions, custom simulation weights, profile records, and cloud database entries are immediately and permanently erased.
- Web or Email Request: You may also request manual account and data deletion at any time by emailing jajo9147@gmail.com, and your records will be purged within 24 hours.
5. Live Sports Feeds
CFB Prophet pulls weekly game schedules, team ratings, and live scores from public athletic APIs (such as ESPN). We do not send your personal identity or browsing habits to these providers.
6. Analytics & Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party ad pixels. The app only stores functional preferences (such as your active team theme and saved predictions) necessary for the simulator to run.
